This speciality will qualify you to function as a pattern design assistant in a development department within the fashion industry where you will often cooperate with designers and other pattern makers.
Throughout the 4 semesters you will acquire basic knowledge of construction, grading, materials and manufacturing methods making you able to develop patterns ready for production and product documentations.
The course programme focusses on providing you with skills in applying relevant tools within CAD and IT. The AccuMark programme from Gerber Technology will be your daily tool for construction and grading and you will use Adobe Illustrator for a number of illustrations within product documentation. You will be able to communicate products with a view to quality, measurements and tolerances for international business partners.
